Nameplate

Claim a name

BOT CHAIN · IDENTITY DIRECTORY

Your short name.
Your refundable stake.

Nameplate is an on-chain directory for short handles. Pay a fixed BOT deposit to claim a name, transfer it when you want, or release it anytime and get the deposit back.

Why a name needs an exit

Most “claim your handle” experiments trap a fee forever. Nameplate treats the claim payment as a deposit, not a sink. If the name no longer serves you, release it and reclaim the BOT. That is the product promise.

The directory stays honest because availability, ownership, and deposits are all readable on BOT Chain. No support ticket. No admin favor.

How it works

  1. 01

    Search availability

Type a short name. The desk checks the registry before you sign anything.

  2. 02

    Claim with a deposit

Pay the fixed claim price in BOT. Ownership and deposit are recorded to your address.

  3. 03

    Transfer or release

Move the name to another wallet, or release it to free the handle and refund yourself.

On-chain rules

Small surface area. Clear ownership. Explicit exits.

Who it is for

Builders shipping mini-apps

Reserve a readable handle for a bot, booth, or campaign without locking capital forever.

Communities issuing aliases

Let members claim short tags, then release them when roles rotate.

Collectors of clean strings

Hold a sharp name while it matters, transfer it, or cash the deposit back out.

Name desk

Connect a BOT Chain wallet, check a name, then claim. If you already own one, release it here to exit and reclaim your deposit.

FAQ

Can I get my BOT back?

Yes. Release the name you own and the contract refunds the deposit to your wallet.

What names are valid?

3 to 16 characters. Letters, numbers, and hyphens. Names are stored case-insensitive.

Can someone else take my name?

Not while you own it. After you release it, the handle becomes available again.

Claim cleanly. Exit cleanly.

Nameplate keeps identity light: a short string, a refundable stake, and no trapped balance.
